Few of my favorite things…

Just got home from seeing the Kite Runner… and I’m feeling rather deflated at the moment. (If you see the movie and/or read the book, you’ll know why.)

So, last summer when a friend of mine and I were traveling in Europe, something had freaked her out (trust me, she doesn’t freak out easily) and I woke up to her turning on every light in the little Bed & Breakfast on the Isle of Skye. I said, “What on earth are you doing? It’s still night, right?” She said that something had freaked her out (a story which will remain untold at this time) so she was trying to think of her favorite things. (In the interest of disclosure, a few beers at the local pub had previously been involved). Being the person I am (curious), I rolled over and said, “As long as you don’t bust out in song… what have you got so far?”
